Let me take you to one of my most special and favorite spots in the continental US. I'm reminiscing back to rare moments in this secluded place: After riding the horses up from Mountain Bird Ranch, and camping by the semi secret water fall, a short walk lead us to this stunning lookout promontory on the prow of a vertical cliff. The ancient "Sundial Stones" are still keeping a special rocky mountain time. There is an atmospheric suspension elevating the spirit as it hovers over the basin. Breath in the air her and get sweet white fir and wild mountain rose. On this point I have seen elk tracks, bear tracks, coyote and mountain lion tracks. And they all had come out to the edge just to look, and sniff the magical air. Up there are also tracks of a love gone into the wild blue yonder. 'Blessings to you, from one "Mountain Bird" to another.'

ARTIST BIO Anastasia Ealy has been a New Mexico artist since 1984. She was raised with the love of the Rocky Mountain west, ranching, horses, farm animals, gardening and mountains. Many summer times were spent on the Nebraska family ranch. Her mother was a Creole from New Orleans, Louisiana, of original French and Portuguese,Spanish,Sephardi-Jew, early 1700's Colonial ancestry. This Spanish heritage, and having lived and painted in Calpe, Spain during the 1970's also gives Anastasia a strong affinity to Northern New Mexico.Colonial heritage, and love for it people and landscapes.
