Garden Prose
Through times of joy, I revel in my garden.
In times of sorrow, I take comfort in her soil beneath my nails, as I replenish, plant, and heal this earth that God has given me.
Alone with God in the garden are my best times.
Keep calm and grow food the Holy Spirit whispers this early April.
This mountain garden I have just planted with asparagus, purple astilbe, and Miracle phlox, tall, fragrant lavender with white eyes.
I am savoring the sunset into twilight. I stand alone in the hay field.
Dazzling white peaks shine over greening valley.
Overhead fractal clouds patterned as a giraffe’s coat—checkerboard of soft-edged diamonds
before silver-blue sky.
Peal-eyed half-moon—never half empty, sails behind those intriguing shapes that form
A huge abalone shell cloud cover--Whose
Apricot glow-bellies—glory clouds simmer in the west
You give us the good to taste, and songs You sing over us in the
Key of G—God—Good!
