Typo Edited. this photograph is capturing an Autumn Trot of Joy for my Andalusian filly in her new pasture of freedom. Her first day intermingling with the other mares. Her incredible "Lightness of Being" is a delight to behold. Andalusian (Spanish) horses are known as "The Lightest Horse in the World." Meaning light on their feet, light to the touch handling, maneuverability, which was for wild bull herding, light cavalry,bull fighting, etc.
About Anastasia Savage Ealy
ARTIST BIO Anastasia Ealy has been a New Mexico artist since 1984. She was raised with the love of the Rocky Mountain west, ranching, horses, farm animals, gardening and mountains. Many summer times were spent on the Nebraska family ranch. Her mother was a Creole from New Orleans, Louisiana, of original French and Portuguese,Spanish,Sephardi-Jew, early 1700's Colonial ancestry. This Spanish heritage, and having lived and painted in Calpe, Spain during the 1970's also gives Anastasia a strong affinity to Northern New Mexico.Colonial heritage, and love for it people and landscapes.
